Wednesday May 18th:

11AM: Luncheon and Panel Discussion on Music in Film (Chautauqua Auditorium, 400 S. Grand)

3PM: SELENA, (Texas Theater, 110 W. Main)

The true story of Selena Quintanilla-Perez, a Texas-born Tejano singer who rose from cult status to performing at the Astrodome, as well as having chart topping albums on the Latin music charts. Filming locations: Corpus Christi, Houston, San Antonio

7PM: SIR DOUG AND THE GENUINE TEXAS COSMIC GROOVE (Chautauqua Auditorium) Q&A Following with anticipated guest film maker Joe Nick Patoski.

Sir Doug and the Genuine Texas Cosmic Groove tells the story of Doug Sahm, the wild man musician's musician and unsung hero of Texas music.

Thursday, May 19th:

11AM: BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS (Texas Theater, 110 W. Main) Q&A Following with anticipated guest Barry Corbin.

Town Sheriff and regular patron, fights to keep a historical whorehouse open when a TV preacher targets it as the Devils playhouse. Filming locations: Austin, Pflugerville, Hallettsville, College Station 

3PM: THREE BURIALS OF MELQUIADES ESTRADA(Texas Theater, 110 W. Main) Q&A following with anticipated guests Julio Cedillo, Eric Williams.

Ranch hand Pete Perkins looks to fulfill the promise to his recently deceased best friend by burying him in his hometown in Mexico. Filming locations: Big Bend National Park, Lajitas, Monahans, Odessa, Van Horn

6PM: VIP Reception at The Dove’s Nest (105 W. Jefferson) 

8:30PM: TRUE STORIES (Outdoors Downtown)

A small but growing Texas town, filled with strange and musical characters, celebrates its sesquicentennial and converges on a local parade and talent show. Filming locations: Dallas, McKinney, Red Oak

Friday, May 20th:

11AM: PURE COUNTRY (Texas Theater, 110 W. Main) Q&A following with special guest Lesley Ann Warren and Screenwriter Rex McGee

Dusty Chandler (played by George Strait) walks away from his over-produced concert tour and finds happiness, love, and himself. Filming locations: Midlothian, Fort Worth, Maypearl, Terrell

3PM: TWO STEP (Texas Theater, 110 W. Main) Q&A following with anticipated guests Alex R. Johnson (writer & director), Jason Douglas, Barry Tubb.

The lives of James, a directionless college dropout, and Webb, a career criminal with his back against the wall, violently collide. Filming location: Austin

11AM: SECONDHAND LIONS (Texas Theater, 110 W. Main) Q&A Following with anticipated guests Tim McCanlies, Jason Douglas, Morgana Shaw, Joe Dishner. 

A coming-of-age story about a shy, young boy sent by his irresponsible mother to spend the summer with his wealthy, eccentric uncles in Texas. Filming locations: Austin, Lockhart, Pflugerville

3PM: TIN CUP (Texas Theater, 110 W. Main)

A washed up golf pro working at a driving range tries to qualify for the US Open in order to win the heart of his succesful rival's girlfriend. Filming locations: Arlington, Houston, Kingwood

6-8PM: Street Dance in Downtown with 1100 Springs (no ticket needed for dance)

5-8PM: VIP Tent open with BBQ Supper, 

8:30PM: GRAND CHAMPION (Outdoors Downtown) Film introduced by special guest Barry Tubb.

Determined young boy Buddy and his prize-winning steer, Hokey, make their way through the Texas stock show circuit, ultimately winning Grand Champion. When Buddy realizes Hokey’s fate, he kidnaps him and they have a wild adventure across Texas, where they receive help from unlikely sources along the way.
